Multiple Exam Paper Download – Browser Instructions
To maximise compatibility with different web browsers, the multiple paper download function opens a new tab in your browser to download a file, then closes it once complete. In most cases modern web browsers will try to protect against this and block pop-up windows.
In order for the multiple paper download function to work properly you will need to configure your browser to ‘trust’ the Exams Manager websites and allow it to open up new browser tabs.

- Click the menu icon (top right) to open the Chrome menu.
- Click Settings (or Preferences if on a Mac), and scroll down to click Advanced.
- In the Privacy and security section click Content Settings.
- Find the Pop-ups section and click the arrow on the right.
- In the Allow section click the add button (on the right).
- In the Add a site window that appears add the domain name of your Exams Manager websites.
Mozilla Firefox

- Click the ‘hamburger’ menu icon (top right) to open the Firefox menu.

- In the new tab that opens, scroll down to Pop-ups and redirects, and select Allow from the drop down against it.
- Close the tab.
Alternatively, you could use the steps provided by Microsoft here.
Microsoft Edge (older versions)
To turn off pop-up blockers:
- Select Settings (the ••• icon).
- Select Privacy & security.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Privacy & security section to turn off the popup blocking.
Note – Edge does not support pop-up blocker exceptions. You must accept or reject all pop-ups when you are using Edge.
Set this option to Off to disable the pop-up blocker on all sites or On to enable it for all sites. If you would prefer to allow only some pop-ups, please use another browser
Similar steps can be applied to earlier versions of Internet Explorer to allow pop-ups on your Exams Manager websites.
